For beginners I think yahoo web hosting is the best and easiest to use. Yahoo has question and answer section that can solve most problems and direct phone line for additional support.

I have my website through Microsoft Office Live, and my website has been doing pretty well!
They have a standard website for free which includes; your own domain name, email addresses and tons of tools... I was on a strict budget so I really didnt want to have pay... It's also very easy to create and it is search engine friendly... |

First you need a domain name. Cheap domains at www.godaddy.com A domain name is the name of your website (example www.yahoo.com)
Then you need tools to build your website.. if you know how to write code do it yourself or else use a (cms) content management system like joomla, drupal. There are modules which can help you setup shopping cart and such.
You need a webhost, a place that will host the files needed for running your site. There are cheap/free alternatives but their reliability may not be something to talk about. Good hosts I would recommend are www.site5.com and www.dreamhost.com
If you don't feel like venturing into this territory, go to a place that will build websites for you like yahoo itself.
Also you may need to check if selling e-books online doesn't infringe on copyrights and such.
You need to read a lot more on this topic. Its not so easy as I want to have a website abracadabra and you have a website. Good luck! |

All I know is that you could make websites for free in Yahoo!, using their geocities service, it also has a built-in webpage maker.
But on how to sell things online I don't know, ask an expert web designer or try a service like e-trust or something (companies that host secure transactions) |

Hi there, i would suggest creating your own Squidoo page. You can create as many as you like, and it's all free.
You can promote many different kind of products, maybe write a small review about the e book you wanna promote, insert a banner or a link to your product/s.
They have a basic html creater that you can use, and is easy to understand, and user friendly.
Just take a look at a few of my own pages i've created, just to show you how much you really can do. The skies the limit.
After that go to www.squidoo.com, and start your project, it takes just a few minutes.

Hello,
This is just a warning - you will get LOTS of people looking for you to join their system or group. Don't. Just do it yourself, or you'll be wasting your time!
1. A physical product
Example: a book, a sewing kit, a computer, etc
2. A digital product
Example: an eBook (very hot on the market!), a website, anything else that's downloadable
3. Entertainment
Example: MP3's, Funny Pictures, Funny videos, etc (NOT porn!)
4. Useful websites (Portals)
Example: Free websites that serve a purpose, like TinyURL.com, FileBiggie.com, etc
Always follow these steps when creating your product:
1. Find a problem in people's lives
2. Address the problem and solve it
3. Create a website selling your solution
4. Market your solution to the people with the problem
5. Review how well it's working/not working
You need something on your website that people want.
As far as GETTING people to your site, that's another whole process. THAT's the hard part.
It's called marketing.
