It does seem to me that unless you really prodded him / her then they may not be cut out for the job and it probably won't b long until they cease to work there. Leave it alone. |

That is hightly unprofessional behavior. I
see no difficult in reporting his behavior to his
company. If you really want to protect his
job, you could reprot the behavior but not his
name. However, if he is acting like that, he
will get himself in trouble sooner or later. You
are not responsible for getting him in trouble;
he was already in trouble when he misbehaved
on his job. Somewhere along the line he will
be confronted with this so I wouldnt feel bad
about reporting it. You may be doing him a favor helping it to stop.
There is no reason you should be treated in
such a fashion, and complaining about it to
the top is the best recourse you have.
By the way, I felt I was treated poorly by a triage nurse, and I later called to complain.
I was asked if I wanted to mention her name
and they would talk to her, but in this incidence,
she was doing her job, just was harsh and
pushy about it so I declined to give her name and just vented my feelings to the supervisor.
I felt a lot better and less upset having got it
off my chest. So it depends on the situation.
If your situation was unprovoked, and uncalled
for, then I think it would be appropriate to report
it, and even his name, but that is up to you. You
have several options, including not giving his
name but just complaining....you may find you
feel less upset after talking to someone in
authority. |

everyone is should responsibly do their jobs. and that telemarketer should have checked his manners and phone etiquettes, since he is, first and foremost, in an ACQUISITION-ORIENTED industry. he should have known that it's about customer relations and his job is to build some sort of affinity with the person he is actually ASKING to purchase or avail what he is offering.
yes. file a complaint to the company. because that telemarketer represented the company whenever he would call potential customers. so during that time he told you to *** off, he is speaking in behalf of the company he's working for. |

It's not worth your time. Most telemarketers work for telemarketing companies, not the company/organization that they are representing. They make very low hourly rates and their incentive is either bonuses or commissions based on how many deals they close. This is true for charities, polling, and businesses.
This guy will keep or lose his job based on his closure rate, not on how he talked to one potential customer/donor. In other word...They won't care.
You will just spin your wheels trying to get in touch with the right person to tell, who will more than likely do nothing more than tell him to be more careful. Advise he will blow off immediately.
My guess is your time is more valuable than that. |

I would report him. There is no excuse, no matter how big of a jerk you were to him (not to say you were), but if it were my company, I would want to know because I don't want someone who can't control themselves working for me. |
