hi everyone,
just want to ask about low pay-rate of Adsense for every clicks.
For example, i am getting roughly 200 clicks a day but the amount for 200 clicks is usually around $1.96, usually lower than $2 ( considering 200 clicks) which means in average each click cost 1cent, $0.01. I understand some clicks gets you higher rate, and some lower, but if it's really that's the case, it means some of my clicks even cost less than 1cent, for example 1/2cent or $0.005 . How this is possible? Why I am getting so low amount for 200 clicks? if 2 or 3 cents atleast can be accepted but 1cent or lower than that, sounds so unfair :( . Any ideas? |

Your earnings per click depend on:
1. keywords shown on your site
2. level of advertiser bidding on your site - e.g. keywords "diamond" is worth more than "squirrel games" because more advertisers are willing to spend money on those interested in diamonds
3. your traffic levels - the more traffic you have, the better
4. your CTR rate - the higher the better and this depends on the responsiveness of your audience to your ads, your ad placement, your ad colors
5. smartpricing - the big unknown in Adsense
Earning low revenue per click may mean your topic does not attract high paying advertisers, or your site may not be good in terms of converting for advertisers that you have been smartpriced (here is Google's explanation of smart pricing https://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=9562&query=smart+pricing&topic=0&type=f )
Blocking ads is not a good idea if you want to improve your earnings per click -- because Adsense is an auction, and shows the high paying advertisers on your site. By blocking the ads you see now, you may be blocking those who are your top paying advertisers, pathetic as the income may be. You may be left with even lower paying advertisers, and your income can be cut in half.
There are several ways to improve your income:
- change your topic to a high paying one

are you sure those are clicks and not impressions? If they are actual clicks, you need to set up your block list and block those low-paying advertisements form being displayed on your site. |
