Adsense question! Quick please.?

When the ads are placed on site / blog, there is also a 'search' bar rectangle thing from google adsense too as part of the ad placement.

1)So if I was to type a work / phrase in there would that be adsense fraud?

2)Or is it just fraud for only cliking on ads?

Don't try to search from this box, or you could be banned...

By the way, I've tested this, and the search box don't bring in a lot of money... because you get paid only if the visitor clicks on a paid listing, not on the general listing.

You'd better add a mormal add, and be sure that you DON'T click on the add.

You can use the search bar yourself -- after all, you do NOT earn just by someone using the search bar. You earn only when someone clicks on the ads shown in the search result https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=35873&ctx=sibling

However, Adsense does not recommend that you use it because it increases the chance of accidental clicks on your part.

But it is NOT fraud (you won't get kicked out from using the search box, but can be kicked out if you click on the ads in the search results)

What you can't do is to click on the ads that show up in the search results page. So if you use it, be sure to be careful and not click on the ads.

fraud happens when you either click your own ads or ask someone to click your ads without any reason at all.

Yup...you can't alter or click on those ad areas in anyway or adsense will ban ya.

It is definitely fraud to use the search bar yourself. That search bar is part of the Adsense income generation system. Clicking in that search bar would give you increased income, so just like clicking on your own ads, it is considered fraud.
