Tie it in to election season and do a crooked as a politician promotion.
Have a information fair about proper footwear, good posture, how to lift etc.
Go to companies and do free seminars about proper back care. Offer a free massage with Chiropractic services.
Buy rulers or levels as giveaways and imprint the slogan "Setting You Straight"
Sponsor local sports teams
Advertise where there are typically long lines or traffic build ups and say "Get In-Line with Dr. ______"
Team up with other related professionals and ask for referrals. Like visit health clubs and set up a referral system.
Get a website and start a weekly email newsletter with tips about your business and general information that keeps them interested, like during the summer, talk about how to plant things or mow without straining your back...use the same idea in the winter with Christmas decorating.
Advertise on the radio during the lunch hour and do lunch hour specials. Come between 11-2 and your first visit is half price. |

Honestly, why ask a bunch of people who've never done it? Would you ask random people on Yahoo Answers to give you an adjustment?
There are plenty of chiropractors who have successfully built large practices from zero, and some of them teach others how to do it. I'd look them up and learn from them.
Start with your local association - see who the players are see if they're non-competitive, take 'em to lunch. Also check with your school and association to see if they recommend any courses or experts.
A couple of names I've run across - haven't used their stuff but I have no reason to believe they're not reliable:

Do you have a customer who can recommend your business? If so get on this newly launched site called http://www.servicedomino.com. The highest number of hits we curretly get from the US and Canada is for health related service providers. You as a chiropracter would be a much needed addition.
Also as the database grows...you get traffic directed to your listing and category....as customers look for recommended businesses. Recommendations are the best form opf ads arent they? Think of it as yellow pages but filtered by recommendations.
The basic listing is free! |

You need sales over night advertising like direct mail. Brand over time ads are important but you will need to get some people in there so you can have a nice ad budget.
Look for a mailing list of people with back problems. Get a mailing list of people that suffer migraines as this is a successful fix for chiropractors. All ads should have a call to action that will give an incentive to go see you now, not tomorrow. Be at the local street fair and offer free massages in your tent. You could also send letters to accident chasing lawyers letting them know that you are taking new clients. |

I worked for the Yellow Pages for 25 years and had many chiropractic accounts that did quite well in the directory. It's where people always turn to when the wake up with a back ache. It's very cost-effective too. |

Flyers and basically a general awareness built over a period of time. Spent maybe 10,000 flyers covering as much radius as that can give you.
And since its more or less location driven, I will share the cost of the flyer and distribution with local traders that are in the area.
Maybe 5 other businesses. Plus yours will be 6. Each sharing 1/6 of am A4 flyer. You can print double sided if you one.
Therefore each business will spend $1000 for a 6 month period. Flyer plus distribution.
Not many people know when to consult a chiropractor, so list down symptoms that they can look out for. |

I would have a Bad Back Contest and give free back scans for a week or 2. Give the 3 - 5 people with the worst back a free session. Advertise the contest in the paper and on the radio. Just make sure that if you do charge for anything extra such as X-rays that the people know about the cost in advance.
Get a CHI Machine from Sun Ancon for increased flexibility of the spine. It will also be something unique that customers will come back for. |

I would recomend posters, or window covers. For example, if you have any windows at your buisness cover them with your buisness, express what you do. Also advertising on cars is a great form of advertising.
If you like what you see on the following website contact me at: Xanderthug1@gmail.com and i will work on getting you a good price. http://exposeyourselfusa.com/ |
