Most important is to identify the market segment and the target market. get a data base prepared before you atart on anything... Then you can just pay a visit or make a call - now remember you are a total stranger to this person - so make sure your properly and professionally introduce your self and then your cause of calling - be very polite since it is a stranger - but do mix with the person according to his acceptence... Most important, get referrals afterwards.. |

Yeah, no one wants to hear your rhetoric, my friend! I don't care if it's a time share to be sold, or a killer vacation opportunity, Tele-marketers are a most unwelcome bunch of interlopers! If I want to get something, I will move on my own to procure it and I don't want or need somebody pushing their agenda on me, especially at dinner time, which is when most of these insensitive morons call to make their pitch. It is my opinion that the best tip I could offer to you is to find another job that is more rewarding to you. Telemarketers are an unwanted nuisance in this world and I believe that I speak for 99% of the populace in that statement. Find something else to do and stop interrupting my family dinner table time is my counsel, my friend. Peace |

Don't! It proved to be least successful way to market yourself... what's worse you will lose your reputation to the people you are calling... Try other ways of marketing... more indirect and annoying. Whatever your business is, try reading MREA by Gary Keller. He gives tons of brilliant advice and supports it with facts. |
