I sold Yellow Pages for 25 years and had several local printers as accounts. They said they a reasonable amount of business from the ads. They had tried other media like direct mail, but in order to reach the business customer, the directory worked best. They have various ad sizes to suit all budgets and have Internet advertising options as well.

Hold a free luncheon for businesses in your area. While they're eating give a presentation on how your business can help with their printing problems. Be sure to give good concrete advice and not just a sales pitch so they will feel like they got something useful out of it. Give them a free note pad and pen with your company's logo and contact info on it. Follow up with them a week later and ask how they enjoyed the meeting and if there is anything else they would like to know.
