Well, there are too many things to consider before you start selling through advertising.
First,
who are your prospective buyers?
Second,
what geographical region you want to focus?
You did not mention where you want to sell. So I would discuss that in Canadian or US perspective. Because we work in these areas.
Local Targetting is the most effective in sales. This way you can save your advertising cost and shipment costs.
Best way is Pay Per Click through Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Bidvertizer etc. You can localise your campign to any area in North America. We even target small towns whenever we launch our campaign there. And that gives good results.
Second most important source is Local Classified ads websites. They are too many but I will give some of them here. They are:
Kijiji.com and kijiji.ca
BuyAndsell
livedeal.com
http://www.MutualBargains.ca
tradepoint.ca
They are all free but free ad post disappear in lower pages even after one day. One can buy a featured ad post from them with nominal charge and this way ads could stay at top in website search results.
Sometime ago, we tried to use those cheap click website. They give clicks but no sales as they just find people to see our website but they can't be customers. Because, selling is not possible untill you employ the techniques to influence the people to buy something. |
