hopefulgirl | Are online paid surveys just scams? |
Okay first of all before anyone asks, yes I do have a full time job. But everyone always wants extra money...
I've seen it for a while now, paid online surveys... companies pay you to take surveys... are these for real or is it a scam. I've read into these and have seen they don't ask you for money before hand. It just seems to be too good to be true though. It doesn't look like you make much money on them, just extra money.
Anyone ever do these before? I've been thinking about it, but before I get myself into something like this I want to know if it's for real or not. I'd rather ask people instead of reading the 'true stories' because obviously scammers can just make those up.

We get manyads around our uni campus about ways to to make money just by taking surveys. There's a catch though, apparently you gotta pay membership first in order to take these types of surveys. Now I don't know what happens after you pay for membership and I'm not going to plan to. I just play it safe and do surveys from trusted retail stores like Chapters or BestBuy. They don't give money, but atleast they offer a contest. All you need is a code which you recieve when buying any sort of item. So yeah, not sure if this post made any sense because I'm not really thinking straight at the moment. |

Many are scams. The rest typically pay you very little, maybe a $25 gift card for doing 50 surveys or something like that - and you can't just sit down and do 50 of them, you have to wait until they are available so it might take a few months to get enough "points" to get the gift card. |

I've been doing it for a couple of years through www.surveyspot.com. It's not much cash but is is indeed legit. I've made probably $150 over the last 3 years. |

If you have to pay money, it's probably not a legitimate company. I know of no job that requires an employee to pay the employer for the privilege of making money for the employer (except for certain chef positions in upper, upper class restaurants). Approach with extreme caution. |

A lot of the sites out there are scams. I have joined so many, and a lot of them have turned out bad. I have found one that actually pays, and people have proof. All you do is click on banners & you get paid, either using Paypal or Alertpay. It's really easy, and there is no registration fee. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me (:

There are many ways to make money online – virtual assistant, home based agent, ebay, affiliate programs or putting up a theme based website. But you must avoid online money making scams. Read useful information here.

The online survey site I'm a part of does not have any fees and registration is free. It in fact does really pay as I and other users have proven so. Payment is a check that comes to you in the mail. My check for last month’s work was over $100. :) Minimum age required to join is 13.
You can check it out at this blog for more information: http://makemoney-tips-athome.blogspot.com If you have any questions or need help, feel free to ask me :) |

I found this site and I think it's alright. It's got a good list of surveys and PTC sites are real (I think). All use Paypal as well as Alertpay.

Not all are scams, and yes you can make money, but you don't make very much. My favorite site (the only one I've found worth while) is swag bucks. Swag bucks uses a google based seach engine that gives you a chance to win "swag bucks" when you search. But its slow because you can't just spam searches, only the first 20 searchs you do per day have a chance of winning. you get an average of 1-5 points per day by searching. Since i search everyday anyway I use swag bucks to make a bit of extra cash. I've gotten a couple 10 dollar gift cards so far and a 50 dollar card.

many of them yes are terrible money taking scams. But a good majority of them if you know what you are looking for are real market research companies who are seriously looking for opinions from people like you so as to better serve their clientelle. i have been taking online surveys and getting paid for 7 years now. ill be the first to tell you not to even start to try this if you dont want to spend hours in front of the computer for maybe $10 every three months. but if youd like a little reward here and there and you enjoy browsing the internet and learning about new products, survey taking might be fun for you. the article i wrote below outlines the whole paid survey concept in depth if you feel so inclined to read it. otherwise use your instinct and NEVER pay to join anything. |

YES! Trust me, i know! But the proper term is spam. There are spamers (which are really computers) every where, especially on myspace. |
