Are there any Cheap Effective ways to Market your Home Based Business?
I sell two differant products one Adult and one Home Interior. I send out emails and call people but still looking for a better way to reach more people. I live in The Gulf Coast area and am planning to be in a couple Mardi Gras parades (not sure what trinkets to throw yet to promate my stuff) but I need new fresh ideas. Any thoughts?
I owned a freelance marketing business, and I called the local paper to let them know - they had a section where they highlight local businesses. They came out and took my photo and profiled me and put me in the local paper!
Also, as the other person noted - do a press release on letterhead and send out to publications.
Also, post a notice on your college web site or high school about your services.
The best way is word of mouth - send out an email to everyone you know telling them what you do and why and how you can help them.
Meet with previous co workers and friends and talk about ways you might be able to help them.
You only need a few core good customers who will then sing your praises if you do a good job with them.
Also, get out and network - attend trade meetings and conferences.
Some nice marketing material helps too - a flyer, some business cards, or a brochure. It may cost you money but if you do it right, you will be represented the proper way, and it will pay off in the long run.
