Are these type of Ebay sellers running a scam?
An example might read, "PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!!!!! I AM NOT ACTUALLY SELLING AN ACTUAL PRODUCT. I AM SELLING A WEBSITE LINK TO GET THESE PRODUCTS 10 TIMES CHEAPER THAN YOU WOULD PAY IN THE STORE!!! GET THIS ITEM AND OTHERS FOR AS CHEAP AS $50!!! TURN A LITTLE MONEY INTO A GREAT PRODUCT. EVEN IF DONT NEED IT, SELL IT ON eBaY!!! NOT ONLY THIS ITEM BUT OTHERS SUCH AS KEENWOOD, JL AUDIO, SONY AND MORE!!! DONT LET THIS PASS YOU BY---- I WILL EMAIL THE LINK WHEN PAYMENT IS RECEIVED".

What they are selling is information.

Sure you can get if free yourself, but how much is your time worth.

They don't link off Ebay, they send you a document with a link in it which is perfectly legitimate.

If you want to know how to save the money on what they offer and don't know how or have time to research it, buy the information.

If you think it's a scam or don't want to pay someone for what they know, just move on.

You see . . . there are only two things you get paid for in this world. What you do or what you know. For me, I would rather make money for what I know, I'm lazy. If you are too lazy to go out and learn something to sell, buy it.

If you do not check a company before entering into a transaction, you could lose your money, time and credibility. Some widely used resources are the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and the national fraud center ( www.fraud.org) These days, you can easily find out more about a company using the internet in a few minutes. From a company's website, you can details about its ownership, how old the company really is and feedback from the company's customers.
You can find more detailed information about a company at http://tinyurl.com/gtb89

Sounds like a scam.

eBay is the largest online marketplace and one of the most popular ways to earn an income from home with a PC and internet connection. Selling on eBay is inexpensive and easy to start. Ebay has a number of tools for sellers to maximise sales. These are eBay Pulse, Hot items report, merchandising calendar. By sourcing products at a low price, you can increase your profit. it should be pretty darn obvious... if it's that easy to make the money, why isn't the advertiser doing it themselves? it looks like they want an initial payment... after which you may or may not receive an email. and when you do, it may link you to some cheesy site that either offers stolen or broken goods, offers goods but not as cheap as they claim, or claims to offer goods but really is just a front for another scam to take your money. either way, you'd really have to be dopey to fall for it.

Sounds like a scam. You can look at their feedback, but some scammers also find ways of leaving feedback for themselves.

It sounds like it to me. Of course, I don't think you should have to pay to get a website link, anyway. But that's just my opinion. You should check out their feedback, too. But it does sound shady.

Not only does it sound like a scam, it is against ebay policy. They are advertising for a website OUTSIDE of Ebay, which Ebay specifically prohibits. You should report this seller to Ebay and get this seller removed.
