I am up to my ears with free pens, calendars, calculators, diaries, note-books, etc etc.
It does not bend my thinking as to who I may do business with.
So is all this rubbish worthwhile ?

its all about product placement and having their company logo in view every now and again. It does work. Its keeps their corporate identity in your everyday life.
To you it may just be a pen, but the fact is you use the pen every day, you may even use it in work where other people will see it, or travel from office ot office using it where a much larger audience will see it. Everybody who sees it will be reminded of the existence of the company whose logo adorns it.
You maybe don't think 'i got a free pen from them so i'll buy their product' but you will probably think of their brand when you are considering a purchase in their field. |

Lol...with a growing family going through school...I totally appreciate all the pens, calculators, diaries and note books!! They have saved me hundreds over the years! But I don't have any decision making power when it comes to our stationary...so I guess I can't really comment on their worthiness! |

Well it keeps a lot of people who make them and sell them, and it works on those who are susceptible to freebies. The idea is to use items to get past the gatekeeper. I recycle them. |
