Hello. I am advertising a Dental Assisting/Dental Administrator school with programs that last 12-16 weeks. Our targeted demographics are 18-28 years old, male or female, renters or homeowners and highschool graduates. I am considering billboards, television ads, radio ads, mailers, adwords with google.....what do you think will work the best? Do you have any better ideas? Thank you for your help! |

It sounds like you are going about this in a well thought out way! I'll break my thoughts down by form of media.
Radio-audiences are shrinking. make sure to get any ad into drive time 6am to 9am and evening driving hours.
Billboards-how many of us actually read them much anymore?
Television ads are can be very expensive.
Mailers-do most 18-28 year olds read mailers? I'd use that for an older audience.
I think internet is the way to go if you can get it to your specific geographical region.
I'm taking a mass communications class and trying to help but hoping some others with official advertising experience will chime in.

Myspace, and Flyer's they are old school but flyer's work. Scatter them wherever young people frequent, the mall, schools, anywhere they frequent in your town. |

I have this one nailed for ya! Get your business into a job fair. This way, you interact one on one and find out what people are looking for. You will have a chance to meet people of all ages and walks of life. Make speical marks on applications on people who peak your interest. Some high schools even hold job fairs. Call your city of commerence to find out more. They might have info for you. Also look into any convention centers... if you have any in your area. I think a job fair appearance may work best at the beginning stage of your search for customers/students. |
