Best cheap advertising?

I would like to know if anyone has any idea to help me get more clients? First off, I should tell you that I work for Ameriplan, a health benefits company, not insurance. And I know alot of people will respond with saying that it's a scam and it never pays off. To those people, please don't post a answer. It's ok if you don't believe in it, but I know where I get my check from every month. Now, on to the question. I really need more people who don't have insurance or can't be covered by insurance. I live in TN, if that matters, but the program is nationwide. So, who should I target and where can I post up my advertisements? Thank you.

Sure, I have some ideas for you!

1. Find flyers around town where people are advertising for their business like house cleaners, MLM companies, handy men, etc. Then, call (or email) them. The key is not to call and have your sales pitch all ready. You need to do a VERY soft sale, and schedule a time for an in person meeting so they can actually SEE what you are offering to them. It might not be a bad idea to even rent a room at your local rec or civic center and have a seminar type of thing for all the people who show up!

2. Focus on all the lay offs and people who cannot get a job right now. Put an ad in the paper something like:

Laid off? Can't find work?
Keep up on your health care
for an extremely affordable price.

3. If you don't already have a website, and / or can't afford to have one made, set up a blog. Even if you have a company website, it might be best to set up a blog anyway. Those company websites lack personability. With a blog, you can really zero in on who your target market is.

4. Write articles and submit them to www.ezinearticles.com and www.goarticles.com. Focus them on health care, and why we all need it. In the "bio box" put your short blurb and your blog address.

5. Ask to put your business cards out at hair salons, nail salons, independitly owned businesses, basically ANYWHERE that will let you put them out! Have your phone / web / blog address / email on there. You might want to gear your business cards towards the problems in America right now... unemployment, lay offs, stress levels, gas prices... to get people's attention. You can get VERY cheap and nice business cards at www.vistaprint.com

6. You said in your question that you knew a lot of people would respond by saying this is a scam. If you put that in your question, you must come across that a lot. What can you do to change that perception in people? Do you have it? How much money do YOU save when you go to the doctor or to the pharmacy? Compare prices with Sams and other discount pharmacies. Let people know the REAL savings they will be getting. Also, have a little brochure that shows how much they would be paying if they DIDN'T have Ameriplan. You ABSOLUTLY MUST make people see the value, and benefit in this plan - and MUST make them think it was their idea to buy into the plan.

The BEST cheap advertising is word of mouth! When you talk to a potential new client, offer them references to talk to (your past clientele!). Online advertising in network sites and free classifieds are your next options. Also blogging is most helpful. Lastly, if your a mom and your targeting moms you can go to momchats.com and host an informational or biz opp chat. Their weekly newsletter will hit about 200+ ladies and its all free!

you can design your ad very impressive and send it throuh email, or post it in classified ad websites or post in in different forums or send the message in chat rooms. all you will get from seach engine by typing "free classifieds" or "forum" o chatting

You should go to health related blogs and forums. Find discussions closest to the issues that you have the solution for. Do not try to sell them on your program, but be an active part of their group. Once you establish a sincere presence people will want to know more about you and what you do. Isn't your business really "relationship marketing" not network marketing?
