How are you, that is, how is the business UNIQUE? What makes it different? Special? Interesting?
When you have the answer to the questions in the first paragraph, you can take your unique business quality and present it to the local media: newspapers, magazines, radio stations, and local TV stations. If your business is truly unique and interestingly different, they will love to do a story on it!
First, call each media business and get the name, title and address/phone for the 'business editor'. Next,send them a BRIEF letter explaining your business, why it is unique/different, and why people would be interested in learning more about it. Finally, followup with a phone call.

We had a family-owned business for more than 30 years. It burned to the ground. We got alot of free publicity in the newspaper and on television. There was also some more publicity when my brother was arrested and later indicted for arson. |

you could print flyer's, as they say though you gotta spend money to make it,but if you have a good printer I would make up a lot of flyer's.also maybe try going to reception halls and such.. |

Think about who your target market is, where they go, what they do etc. I assume your targets would be young people 15-25. Run a competition, start it using bluetooth and hope that it becomes contagious. Need to use your imagination on the comp or promotion though. What about colleges & universities. Doing flyers is easy, what you need is a reason for your audience to believe. To believe that they will be entertained. What do you do different or better than other DJ's. Tell people that simply but creatively. |
