There's book by Marilyn Sweet called, " A Fearless Guide to Starting a Profitable 5k Business". Gives you advice on how to advertise effectively even if you don't have a huge budget. |

Depends if you can realize an immediate, measureable return on your investment. If you can't, why are you spending money? If you can, then it's a matter of cash flow and capacity planning - if you are able to confidently return $1.50 for every $1 you spend and the cycle takes 30 days, then you simply run a cash flow analysis and decide how fast to grow.
But, if you can't do that, you need to test multiple approaches to find a winner. Do that on as small a scale as you can, as rapidly as you can, to get reliable results. If you have more cash available, either save it, or use it to accelerate testing.

It depends on so many factors but your target market will really dictate determine this. There are so many free ways to promote a business. Remember to always, always look at local marketing and offline marketing. The internet is a great source but you also need that personal touch. |
