Rodney L | Business name for IT consulting.? |
Hey guys, I plan on starting an IT consulting business. I'll be doing some web design and hosing as well. I'm trying to think of a name that sounds "technical" but not goofy. Totally professional. I would like for the title to have the word "solutions" or "business solutions" in it somewhere. I would like to portray "outside the box" thinking to the name, but don't want that phrase AS a business name. I've been trying to combine word roots with not much success. Most importantly, I would like to give off an heir of confidence with the name that would install a certain amount of trust from the beginning.

I think you should steer away from "hosing." How about something like "Innovative Solutions?" or "Creative Solutions?" or try blurring the language like "Innova Solution Advantage" or some such crap. |

i am just going to throw this in there, why sound like evvvvvvvvvery other IT consulting business? Innovative Solutions is good, and you will immediately sound like 99% of other IT consulting firms. If that is your aim, then go for it. It doesn't differentiate your product at all. Go for the edges, off the wall, even abstract or mysterious. I know you think that by doing so you will be taking a chance, but trust me, taking the route you are is taking the real chance, and the path to obscurity. Its a clouded marketplace my friend, if you don't dare to stand out, you will never be seen.
