Just watched a sound bite from the local Utah news and it was about a buy on EBay. The guy bought something that was not authentic he returned it for a refund and never got his money back. So they have some news trouble shooter looking into it. |

I have been buying on Ebay for about 5 years and I have had nothing but satisfaction.
Just don't buy anything from Japan. |

Your best bet is to buy from somebody with a lot of feedback and with very little negative feedback. Try and get it from somebody who has their own store on ebay as well. |

My mother buys from ebay all the time (and a little too often if you ask me.) XD Out of all the purchases she's made she's only had about five problems, one being a pain in the *** to fix but ebay is on top of it, she has excellent ratings and we've always gotten what we've ordered and let me tell you, photos never do justice.
As for warranties, ebay has strict policies and an excellent support staff for problems. We've never really had to worry. User warrenties haven't been as solid but as I said, ebay will punish anyone who tries to swindle you out of your money or doesn't meet up to certain standards. |

I've bought good new things through E-Bay stores. The best thing to do is check out the customer reviews on each store and then read the warranty on the website. Then read reviews of the product itself on the internet. I only buy new things so the quality has always been good but at a substantial discount. It's like buying from a store catalogue, a large store with a good reputation will follow honor it's refund policy. My next phone will probably be bought through Ebay. |

Possibly, though alot of the stuff I ordered where not quite up to the standards that they were advertised at. Some good, Some bad. Depends on who's selling it. Check the seller's rating. |

Yes. You would speak with the seller to find out the warranty/condition of the product. |

Always look at the sellers stats, like how many people were pleased with the buyer, look at comments, and especially if it's an expensive item talk to the seller directly.
ALWAYS MAKE SURE THER CAN GIVE YOU A RECEIPT!!
If a bargain looks to good to be true it is, bottom line no exceptions. For example, you may find a deal for a Iphone for $25, sounds good, they will have pics of the Iphone and may even use tricky wording like "Have an Iphone for only $25 it's true" and may even have testimonials, but youl end up buying a PDF on how to get an Iphone for $25, useless info and your out $25
So be carefull |

You should speak to the seller for more information about the product's condition but so far everything that i have purchased from E-bay has been in the condition that i had expected it to be in. |

For new goods, the seller is probably an expert..
Beware of buying "collectables" that the seller may have bought at an auction...
Sellers can be so ignorant that their descriptions are often false, without their even knowing it. |
