Question #1 - Do I have to pay Yahoo & Google (PPC) in order to come up in their search engine? I am sighned up with both of them and they are bleeding my bank account dry (Yahoo mainly).
Question #2 - If I link exchange with a high ranking site (similar to mine) will it make my page rank go up?
My Online store is at www.DKCrystalDesigns.com Please feel free to take a look and tell me what you think. Please be honest (but not rude). I am getting visitors but no sales. Is it the site or the product? Thank you Additional Details I know The pages are stuck to the left sideof the screen. It is because I used a cheap program to build the site. I will be getting Adobe Dreamwever in the next few days & will most likely redo the whole site with that.

#1- Yes and no. I highly recommend having a third party use ROI focused applications to target the RIGHT keywords for your PPC campaigns so you don't just get traffic- you get conversions (this is key). Our company Direct Hit Solutions does manage these sorts of campaigns for clients. Our typical monthly cost is $499 and we will manage a budget of any size. As you are learning, Google and Yahoo will bleed you dry if you don't know what you're doing.
#2- Yes high quality links will very likely raise your Google page rank. We also offer link buying for clients. You set your monthly SEO budget and we seek out the most relevant and valuable links related to your site and purchase them for you. Please see the link below for more info!

hey you got a good site and nice products too, but you know what ? you are doing things in a wrong way PPC though sounds very cheap can be very costly for small business owners in some cases,
moreover you are not having sales because your site does not gives an impression of a professional eshop...... but trust me it is not a bad start at all..
i will be true to you and tell you the ultimate way to go about it.... assuming that you know html i would suggest you to get even better grasp of programming languages like xhtml and css also read books which will teach photoshop and basic principle of web design......
then comes the most important part.... study what your competitors are doing, certainly if they are doing something and getting good results you can do that tooo.... i dont mean to copy them but to take their work as a benchmark.....
it wont be an easy task but if you concentrate and spend some months in learning the programming and design and little bit of promotion you would certainly get good results ...
Also remember that you should always target a small segment of market.... means identify your buyers and sell only to them ! this might sound funnny prima facie but it really works wonders and thats what they teach you at business schools ... JUST to give you an EXAMPLE--- For your products you can target girls aged 18 to 30 and then study what they like and what they don't what are their needs.... what they like to talk about.. what are the sites they buy from....
Its a massive topic it wont be easy for me to write it all down.... but hope what i told would give you some idea

The site is nice, but (theres always a but) you need just a little bit of animation...nothing is moving or sparkling just a.little too static...btw the pages all loaded on the left side of my screen and the other side is blank.

My husband started an online business about 2 years ago and it took him a YEAR to get out of the google "sandbox" where they don't recognize your site at all! He finally started working with this company that has this amazing tool to be able to get you great rankings in a very short amount of time. The company finally put together a site that has the tool available to the masses. Check it out! www.RankFirstPro.com

what you are offering is demanded, but i believe you need to work on your site a little bit more, on the design side.
the menu should be at the top and horizontal.
You need to use some css. Your design is not compatible with all the browser. I am using firefox and the the thing is way off charts. Letters on top of each other. You could use a template , lots of free templates online. (http://www.freewebsitetemplates.com) and work your way around it. You won't have much problem especially since you are using the paypal checkout. You might as well use the google checkout too since you are going to be using google.
Now regarding the marketing, linking to another good website is always recommended by google to increase your rankings.
Also i don't see any ads ( adsense) on your page!
