Quality guidelines - specific guidelines
Avoid hidden text or hidden links.
Don't use cloaking or sneaky redirects.
Don't send automated queries to Google.
Don't load pages with irrelevant keywords.
Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content.
Don't create pages that install viruses, trojans, or other badware.
Avoid "doorway" pages created just for search engines, or other "cookie cutter" approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content.
If your site participates in an affiliate program, make sure that your site adds value. Provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first.
Design and content guidelines
Make a site with a clear hierarchy and text links. Every page should be reachable from at least one static text link.
Offer a site map to your users with links that point to the important parts of your site. If the site map is larger than 100 or so links, you may want to break the site map into separate pages.
Create a useful, information-rich site, and write pages that clearly and accurately describe your content.
Think about the words users would type to find your pages, and make sure that your site actually includes those words within it.
Try to use text instead of images to display important names, content, or links. The Google crawler doesn't recognize text contained in images.
Make sure that your TITLE tags and ALT attributes are descriptive and accurate.
Check for broken links and correct HTML.

Personally selling stuff from clickbank takes a LOT of work. Same with Google AdSense and trying to drive traffic to your website.

Yes you can. The key is to build a website with valuable content. One that will drive organic traffic. You can do that by developing a website around a subject and optimize the content and then add your products to the site.

It is totally possible, but like previous posted answers, it is not as easy as some say it is. It takes alot of time and effort in the beginning to get set up.
Do not just take up a Google ad to promote a clickbank product. I have done it several times and it surely made Google alot of money and me zero. Be very selective and careful if you do decide to do this. Do your research, test the waters, and find other ways to sell online or promote something.
What has worked for me was to stay true to what I enjoy doing and know something about. My online revenue revolves around Brazilian Samba music and dance. This is what I know and love, and it is slowly working. I use Youtube and print flyers that I distribute to promote my website. I sell products and have Google ads posted that will earn me a few pennies when people click on them.
This site is making a little $$ even though it is not yet finished because people are finding it and it is a niche. Hard to find good stuff around this topic.
Just a side note, I you are thinking about selling stuff, you can do so for free at blujay.com. I think it's a google run site but 100% free commerce. If you have stuff you want to sell test it out there before you spend $$ on something fancy.

You can make good money online with Google Adwords but it is more difficult that it seems as you can also loose a great deal of money if you do not know what you are doing.
Choosing good Clickbank merchants to promote and picking the correct keywords to bid on are the the most important things to get right, Also set a low daily spending limit on your campaigns to start with. This will save you a lot of money.
There is a lot of useful free information on adwords.google.com
I have read most of the books on Adwords including the 2 you mentioned. The one I found most helpful when I started out, and the only one I would recommend is "The Campaign Blast Method" http://ebookdirectory.com/adwords

Yes you can. But its not easy. Dont try any quick rich programs. You can make loads of money, but what they dont tell you is its hard work.

Yes, you definately can. But I agree that it's not easy.
While there IS money to be made from home, typing or surveys are not the best way to go.
The best way to go is to start your own business!
When I say that, I mean there are really a number of ways to make money online.
Here are just a few of them:
1. Make a website or blog on a topic that you know about.
Then, you sign up to AdSense and other PPC content sharers, and you make money when people click on your links.
2. Sell an actual product
You can still make money by selling advertising space, but this way, you make money by selling a product.
3. Sell a digital downloadable product.
Like an eBook or some other type of digital product. This way, you don't have to deal with postage or anything like that. It's like an online vending machine!
It's really easy to set up websites like these. In fact, you can buy a website on eBay for very very little time or money, and start making money within a week or two of marketing your website!
Anyways, I hope this post helps you to see other avenues of making money online...
