Can I use another company's logo on my website without permission to recommend their products?
Additional Details Let me clarify...my product is related to the industry the company does business in but is not in direct competition with any of their products.
NO. You must get permission. Outside of copyright infringement, there are other issues the company whose trademark you want to use may see. If you use someone's trademark or logo, people who go to your website may form a connection between your website/product and the company whose logo appears on your site. It would not be advisable yo use the logo, unless you first contact the company. If they do give you permission, I would obtain writen permission before you continue, to make sure you are as safe as can be from litigation if something happens in the future.

Ask first. Some companies are OK with this and some companies are not.

Agreed. Much of this comes down to whether or not the logo is trademarked or registered.

some may do some may not.
just think of it like this:
you're advertising their company/product/services without even paying you. it's their earn not yours. but some want some permission first

no.. unless you work for that company... then u shouldnt. because if you get caught it will be illegal.

No. Their legal department will get involved and it isn't likely they will approve you using their logo on your website. The main reason is they want to make sure you are not touting your product to be the same as their product. It is just a matter of legality.
