Go there, enter in your information so you can see the video, and it explains it all from there. I can walk you through the process step by step if needed just to make sure you are successful. Let me play the devil's advocate here for a minute.
If you don't know how to get started you'll most likely waste your money trying to do this yourself. There is a lot more to a successful web site than just throwing up some pictures and words.
What is it you WANT to do for the next several months? Run your business or learn how to build an effective web site? You will only do ONE of these things well. Try to do them both and you'll be very disappointed in both.
The costs for a maintained web site are low enough you don't have to try to do it all yourself. For less than the cost of an ad in your local newspaper you can have professional help so you get the best results for your efforts.
If you want to learn web site design I applaud your efforts. Just realize that you will be competing with those of us who already know how to make things happen on the Internet.

easy. Yahoo! Small business. (full disclosure, I work for Y!). But from what you've read from other posters, Y!SB is designed for people like you who are starting out. We designed the product to help you do one thing: Focus on running your business-- not on building a Web site! Start off easy-- with an email account. Then work your way up towards building your site. If you want we also have services to help expand your e-commerce capabilities. One of the companies that I shop at--I found out recently-- started using Y!SB to run the "online" part of their shop. They're a sailing store that really needs to focus on sailing and not their Web site. They tell me that Y!SB makes it easy to conduct biz online. Good luck! |

I am also in favor of Yahoo / Site Builder. I tried Ebay ProStores for the free trial but I dont care for the software. Your local library will have books (and maybe even trial software) for the more popular software titles: FrontPage, etc. Most website hosts have tech support if you get stuck. Good luck with the business!!! |
