Can anyone suggest any SEO tips for my website?

Site is kitmondo.com. I get about 70% of traffic from Google and have PR 4 without too much of a link network. Do really well ont he long tail but not so well on the search head - usd equipment, used [category] equipment and so on. Getting about 2k uniques per day, need it to be 10k. I'm thinking of launching new category pages to attract traffic - redoing the tags.

Any other suggestions for the site as a whole?

SEO TIPS here....

Content, content (and when you think you have enough), more content...Content is KING in Google and other search engines.

Increase links with link popularity building to free and paid link directrories, the more, the better.

Design a search engine friendly Web site - no flash, no frames, basic HTML or ASP Web site pages...design with both the visitors AND the search engines in mind too.

Build a Site Map page, as well as a Google XML Site Map.

Research and then place on your Website targeted, relevant keyword phrases throughout...

Write press releases and related articles and submit them to the many press release and article directory sites online.

Start a corporate business blog and start blogging your business away, with new products, new ideas, suggestions, feedback from visitors, etc.

Simply Have A Link Exchange

Suggestions first...
1) Pay-per-click.
2) More inbound links.
3) Nicer urls (mod_rewrite if your hosted on Apache).

1) Why do you need 10,000 unique vistors a day?
2) How is the site monetized? Pay for listing? or Pay for sale?

My friend I checked your WEBSITE- but one thing is missing a Visitor's Guest Book where visitors after they will visit your WEB-Site , they can insert a message describing their business & WEBSITE with up to 100 words Message incuding theit URL address, and E-mail address. , and then when you visit their WEBSITES, in their Visitors Guest Books...you can exchange and do entries- advertizing your own WEBSITE. I got your E-mail from your WEBSITE...and I E-mailed you a proposition ...I hope you will agree and then both will benefit.

The basic rule is : design a site for the user, not for the search engines. Create great original content that users would love and other sites would want to link to -- and you top rankings in the search engine will follow. Content must be compelling, accessible and unique - this is a key ingredient in getting links. Make sure people can link to specific content.

In your case, your plan to create more pages on the topic you want to rank well can help you. I worked with a company who did not have category pages before, and when we created them, traffic increased for the categories they want. So definitely try it

Make your pages easy to index. Think about the terms that visitors will use to search for your information and make sure your pages include those words. Provide a unique title tag and meta description tag for each page. Use descriptive anchor text when linking to other pages of your site (e.g., "Obtain the latest federal tax forms for 2006" instead of "Click here for 2006 federal tax forms")

Make your pages easy to find. Provide an HTML sitemap that contains links to pages deeper in the site. On your home page, include links to the major sections inside the site. If your site includes many pages, consider creating a browsable set of links that enables the visitor to choose a category, then see links within that category.

Make sure search engines can access the content. Ensure pages of your site can be reached without cookies, registration, session IDs, or forms. Verify that your site isn't blocked with a robots.txt file and that search engines don't receive errors when trying to access your pages. (You can check both of these things using Google's webmaster tools.)

Don't be an island. Responsibly interact with governmental and non-governmental sites to garner natural links, and -- more importantly -- mindshare. Search engine conferences are a great opportunity to learn and network, but participation on forums and blogs can also be very productive.

Study the source. Regularly review search engines' often-updated official written advice (e.g., Webmaster Guidelines, blogs, etc.).
