I would think that all the good names have been taken. But yes, you can.
A domain name is an asset. If you choose wisely, someone who may want that name may be willing and able to pay you top dollar for it.
Think of domain names as a kind of internet real estate. In real estate, some addresses are more valuable than others. Likewise some domain names are more valuable than others because of high demand for that "address." |

Hi,
I have a lot of experience marketing small companies online (I have 3 companies). One of the best ways is to sign up at business directories and protals. These are basically listings of businesses (simliar to the phone book). The advantage is that these portals usually get a lot of traffic and they're ranked high on Google because of all the quality links they contain.
My favorite portal is called Directory Exclusive. I signed up a few weeks ago because they're giving a away a free business card holder when a person enter's their company info. I received it in the mail 3 days ago =)

Hey this really helped me because it enabled me to look over this guys shoulder and see how he made money flipping domains and ive already made some great money! I didn't get rich yet but going from 8.99 domain to selling it for 500 bucks is a big deal...for me. I really got allot from this book just check the link below and let me know how much it helps. |

Yes, but it is a major investment because you have to buy more than a couple. Don't fall for people saying to buy .mobi or .tv it is still about .com domains.
Try to pick celebrities or companies that are beginning their career but have a lot of potential and buy their domain name. Just watch out for trademark infringement. |

A friend of mine searches for so called "start-ups" that have potential to grow and be big names....then buys domain names that compliment their site or has ".....-...." in the same name.
but this is not money you will see any time soon. just like what was said before it is a form of real estate....except real estate WILL pay off, but this a gamble.

You can make money, but it won't happen overnight.
Last year I picked up "mipeso.com", which could mean 2 different things in Spanish, "my weight or my dollar", I paid
$7.99 and sold it for $1,000.00 (2 months later through sedo.com). Afternic.com is another site for more information
on domains and auctions, etc.
