Use one of those vacuum sealers that seal stuff in plastic air tight...

lovely
I find if you use a styrofoam plate or tray ( the kind meats are packaged with ) baked goods stay fresher and moister longer. I usually just use these and then plastic wrap, but make sure that you completely cover the cookies, use a couple of sheets of plastic wrap so there are no air pockets/holes.

These trays are quite inexpensive, you can find them in a few places, or as some people do, they wash their used ones well and reuse them, however I prefer new ones.

Some craft stores carry these, some dollars stores and some grocery stores, I suggest calling around and checking these types of stores in your area to find the best price and where you can get them.

Good luck!

Use the large freezer zip lock bags for a lot of cookies. For a few just double wrap with plastic wrap. They'll stay fresh. :)

ziplock makes cheap inexpensive "throw away" containers. This way you don't need to worry about getting it back, or even ziplock bags and then place them in a box so they do not get smooshed! I know too also @ holiday times they sell those nice decorative tins those keep cookies pretty fresh too.
