Sometimes 80% of an ad text is just cliche phrases that can be applied to almost anything starting with gardening tools and ending up with air travel services.
Of course, there are some cases when companies create the 'buzz' for a name (without explaining what stands behind that name) and associating positive notions to that name with words such as excellent, best, incredibly efficient, gorgeous, new and improved, chic, just to name few .. and yes, if well done this tactics works .. later you can associate almost whatever you want with that name.
Finally, just for completing the picture, there is a certain breed of ad 'experts' who love and enjoy to write without knowing what they are writing about ;)

Sure, look at some of the answers on this site, but are they going to be selected as the Best answer for you and get the results that you're looking for?
My recommendation is to know what you're writing about as well as competition of the product, etc. Know who you are writing to (i.e. New York Times reader or National Enquirer reader) so that your message is conveyed properly. Know the benefits of the product and what it does better than any product out there like it and you might want to convey that if it fits your target profile.

No you cannot do that.
Importantly advertisements are not published free of cost, it involves expenditure. If you are writhing an ad without any idea - it is called "waste in advertising".
Morover it damages the reputation of the brand being advertised. Advertisement are the means of communication with the customers. So if you dont know what you are communicating you Lose the Customer. |
