Yes, Craigslist is free. There are also other sites that you may want to try based on your needs. Craigslist is a great site, however if you are looking to have your posting viewed by the entire US and not just by city you might want to try a different site. Craigslist is know for its local communities which you can only view posting in one specific city at a time.
