Did you lately noticed many more Asian people in ads in USA?
I go to my optometrist and the pamphlet about “most common eye problems” has the face of an Asian girl on it.
This week I noticed Asian girls, and sometimes boys, in ads about 20 times…
Even Yahoo! Answers – Home has an Asian girl under the “discover” menu.
Is it just me? Or other people noticed that too? Additional Details Yahoo just took away their asian girl on their home page...
I'm not from the U.S so can't comment on your specific question. What I would say though is it is great that finally there is a better representation in the media of people of differing ethnic and racial origins.
Sadly I don't think we'll ever be totally proportionate, but any change is welcome.
