ahh the world of advertisements :)
Marketing is one of the oldest profession in the world.
How one terms it....hmmmm
Nowadays, the psychology of selling becomes sort of,
"Selling people what they WANT,
because people don't rush out to buy what they NEED."
Research has shown that, and theory has bound it in textbooks...
lolz,
and you have just seen first hand what it can do!
You don't NEED an apple pie, you WANT the apple pie.
Because it looks so delicious in the advertisement and hey, doesn't cost an arm or a leg, so why not? It's just nearby :)
How many times have you seen the ad?
If you have seen it at least 7 times, that explains it :)
It's the magic number.
lolz,
hope this helps ease your craving *WINKS*
interesting question i must add, hehe thanks

Absolutely not.
I do look at the product to see what it is made of.I really believe that home made is better. |

Thats what they are designed to do,
iwouldnt go out and buy something i saw advertsed if i didnt already need the item. It is good to see what is on the market though. |

Hi D, Yes watching certain adverts can give me impulses, to buy products from shops.I will have to try and keep myself under control. |

There are some weird and wonderful adverts on these days ... half the time I don't know what they are trying to advertise!
The last item that I rushed out for was the latest 'senokot dual relief' ... but ... they are not as good as the originals! |

Somehow, they do because that's one reason they advertise. |

I'm a sucker for advertising, especially beauty and hair products... I'm not sure what it is about them but I have been known to rush out and buy certain ones. :) |
