Depends on the type of clothing you are selling. Sexy clothing benefits from a sexy model. Selling clothing for women in professional jobs (attorney, accountant, banker, etc.) need a model that projects a professional appearance. |

Not too sexy but not ugly. Cuz you want the people to focus on the clothes not the model. But it shouldnt be unattractive then people wont want to look at it. |

Sex always sells, but do you want your business to be known as selling sex or clothing? Check out the clothes catalogs and determine which you want. And, if you want to pay a model or friend and if this is in your budget.
I would think an attractive person, with a nice set of teeth for smiling, in shape, not looking seductive would best suit your needs. |

I think models are a good idea, if they weren't why would every retailer use them? If you are selling smaller sized clothes use a thin model but if you are selling plus sized clothes use a plus sized model. The idea is to get an idea of how the outfit will look on a "real" person not a "perfect" body. |

Its certainly a better idea but affordibility has to be seen as well, cost of models, studio equipment costs,photogrphers etc. And ebay is a cost-effective place to shop, so would you loose a probable competitive advantage by making more investment pushing up ur selling price

who are you selling to - if your selling womens clothes then women will be shopping for them - so why would you ask men if you should use models - you need to look at your key demographic - which means who will be buying your items - for example - floor cleaner uses mr clean - because women priomarily buy cleaner - brawny man sells papertowel - again women got to buy them - on cases of beer - they have the playboy bunny - cuz men buy beer |

I don't think it's the size of the model but the presence she puts out in the photo.. Try styling her differently and try different backgrounds. Good luck with that. |
