What's an advert? I have a DVR and know not what these 'adverts' are. :-)
The billboards that are like big TVs are neat and a good wat to advertise (and to cause accidents), but when I see them all I can think about is how cool it would be to hook up a video game system to one and play on it!
If I see an ad at the beginning of a video online, I will usually just exit the video. i don't want to sit through an ad to watch any video.
Advertising is a good way to brainwash people in to thinking they need products that they really DON'T need. It's been around for a loooooong time, and it will be around for an even loooooonger time. I hate them. I don't let my kid watch them. I love DVR's because I can finally watch TV without them. |

I must say tho my fave ad at the mo is the new crusha milk shake, the one with the cats. Thats marketing at its best. |

If I'm watching adverts on TV I sometimes just zone out, especially if it's in a break of a program I want to get back to. Very few ads are good and actually make me consider the product/service they're selling, most are kind of see them and forget or annoying. It helps if it's funny or has catchy music.
I don't think billboard ads are generally very good, although you get more time to stare at them if you're waiting for the bus or on the tube being bored!
Clever ideas have been used up over time, and it gets harder for companies to make interesting adverts, but in this consumer society it becomes more beneficial for businesses to make them. It's kind of ridiculous though how some more major companies can invest ridiculous amounts of cash into making a 30 second advert on TV, it costs a lot too to put them on at prime time. |

I don't mind seeing adverts - but, some of them drive me mad and I switch over - the New Lynx one makes me sick sick. I love the 'Halifax Man' - the original. Some, like M & S have great ads, but others, I can't work out who or what thinks them up. There used to be a Kit Kat one, which made me give up Kit Kat!!!!!! |

It all depends on if I enjoy the advert - I love the current VW ad with the little dog, I laugh all the time that's on.
I get VERY ratty when my F1 and Motogp programmes are interupted by endless ruddy adverts. |

most adverts are pointless and annoying. whats the point in advertising stuff like cheese lol. i think there should just be adverts which people really need like the price check and stuff so people can save money and about smoking and what it does 2 ur health |
