Target flyers to individuals who will be interested in what you have to offer. If I'm interested, then I'll read them. If not, I throw them away. If you can find a group of people who will respond, and won't throw them away, then you dont' have to spend as much making & mailing those flyers because you aren't just giving them to everyone. Assume it costs you $0.50 per flyer to print & mail. If you just send them to 500,000 addresses randomly, then that will cost you $250,000. However, if it's just random, then most of those people will just throw them away -- which wastes your money. But, if you use database marketing analysis (RFM, logistic regression, cluster analysis, CHAID, etc) to discover a small segment of 50,000 people who are highly responsive to what you have to offer, then you only spend $25,000 to mail to them, but a large percentage of them will respond and buy something from you. You can check out the Direct Marketing Association, SPSS, and Omniture for more information. |

In order for a flyer to be read there must be interest generated for the subject. Flyers left on my door do not generate my interest to open them and see what they are for. Normal human curiosity does not work with me. I throw them in the trash without reading them. A speciality business flyer put in the hands of the prospect must have a compelling reason from you for reading it later. If this interest is never generated then you get no result. |

I throw them away immediately! I don't enjoy "spam" of any kind.
It's hard to give you advise on how to advertise WITHOUT using fliers. I'm not sure your line of business, but, fliers are not the way to get me to look at anything. I get mad during election time where politicians put crap on my home. I don't read it, I throw it.
I consider a flier no better then a junk email. I don't read either. |

think of something better then flyers..when my mom gets a flyer she doesnt even look at it. the first one to see it is the garbage can. try some kind of special dinner or something promoting what ever you selling. |
