Do you think all Market Research surveys should carry an incentive? if so what kind?
How much is your opinion worth? is it worth cash? or vouchers? or a snippet of the results? What is the value you place on participating in a 20 minute questionnaire?.
Remember this is about true Market/Opinion Research NOT sales
hey hold on a second this is a market research survey... I'll tell you what I think for a fiver...

Cash is nice. I earned £5 + a chocolate bar for a 20 minute survey. A gift from the company for whom the survey is being conducted would also help to make the experience memorable & clearly linked to the product. For example a beer for a beer survey!

Definitely - at the very least you need a genuine possibility of winning something but I am much more inclined to answer surveys which pay me a small sukm or which give points which earn vouchers (as long as the points total is actually achievable)

No, I don't think all should do that. If they can get results free, then why pay for them?

Free gift. A few dollars. Almost anything would work. I think more people would answer honestly with an incentive. I personally would not answer dishonestly but I would probably not participate in a 20 minute questionnaire without some type of incentive.

The problem with incentives, is just that they can incent people or make them feel guilty into saying good things and not being completely honest. Unfortunately, not everyone is like me and will participate for the sake of marketing. So, you will do better to have an incentive, just know that and note that your results could be impacted by the incentive.

They used to give you chocolate, I was dissappointed when they gave that up!

Heck yes, defo some e-vouchers or something, as those surveys often take ages!
