they're a very effective method of marketing IF they're done well, which they rarely are. I've seen 10% conversion rates on good fliers, but that was astronomical. I think usually a 2-3% return is pretty good rate and about the best you can hope to achieve.
Generally, they're a waste of time because they're poorly written and targeted even less effectively. |

As someone who used to distribute fliers in Times Square I can tell you, they usually get dumped. If your doing direct mail marketing or even simple distribution, I would suggest handing out an inexpensive promotional item. People are much more likely to want a free pen or tape measure rather than just a piece of paper.
Imprint the important information on the item (contact info, website ect) and then attach the flier. It's a fact that 55% of people keep promo items for up to a year. |

hi there yes they do work i get 1000 for £20 and all way`s get work from them. i never get ones that cost allot just colour paper with black writing.you maybe only get bout 10% of people that will keep them the rest will go in the bin. the good thing is if i get one job they have paid for them self |

Yes, I think they are great if used correctly.
I have had great success with flyers in promoting my web site. It was very cost effective, I produced the flyers myself on the computer/[printer and was well satisfied with the result. |

flyers are ok if you have an idea of who you are targetting
response is generally very low. so they become a game of numbers. it also depends on what you are attempting to trade in. |

No. They are expensive and annoying. I have never ever purchased anything from a leaflet drop or flyer under my windshield or hung on my door. Don't waste your time or money. |
