Hi,
You are doing the right thing in researching before you venture into a business with your friend. Take some time to understand what is entailed, or you will not find success.
Network marketing is a business model which provides for the distribution of their products directly to consumers via distributors. They then share the profits with the distributors based on their sales volume, both their own, and that of any distributors they have signed on with the company as well. The bigger your organisation, the more money you can earn.
The usual way to build such a business is by speaking with people. I believe this works very well in India. However, there is another option as well, and that is by marketing a business online via the many social websites that are available now. Most of these are free to use, and using the internet allows a business to build globally.
I visited the website you mentioned, and I see that RMP have a binary compensation plan. You will need to ask your friend more questions on this, because I have heard that they don't pay out unless both legs of the binary are equal in length. It would be worth checking.
I too have a friend in India, and he said that network marketing companies are springing up all over India at the moment. Perhaps it would be worth your while to compare some of them to help you understand the industry a little more as you research if this is what you want to do.
Network marketing can make you a good income, but if you are not sure what you are doing, it can also cost you a lot of money. So do your research now. Decide if its what you want, and don't let anyone pressure you into something that you may not want to do.

Network Marketing is a real industry. If you want to be successful at it, you need to treat it like a real business. It's not just about "buying stuff and selling it." You also need to help the people whom you introduce the business to, how to be successful as well. There is an art to keeping and retaining an organization beyond just recruiting some folks.
My best advice to you is to educate yourself before you do anything. If your friend is not able to do this, then she may not be the right person for you to sign up with.

It is often called a "pyramid scheme". The difference between the two is that with network marketing, you can actually make some money WITHOUT recruiting other people. With a pyramid scheme, you pretty much HAVE to recruit other people to make money. Often times, a network marketing company can turn into a pyramid scheme. Pyramid schemes are illegal, so if this shift happens, the company goes out of business. |
