you make it not cheap yourself not the free service provider. those free service provider make it looks cheap so you would buy their paid services to make it looks good. so if you learn html, find good free template and customize it to your needs, get your own domain name(domain name is a real estate so nobody give you this for free unless you get a paid hosting plan that comes with free domain name) and host it with a free host with no force ads then you got yourself a not cheap website. most websites with free services exist for the purpose of their biz marketing strategy.
