Heck no. People give celebrities way to much credit. They may be good at a particular trade, acting, singing, sports, or whatever. But how does that make them an expert on vaccum cleaners, jewlry, or life insurance. Heck alot of those yahoos are complete wrecks, who don't even have their own lives together. |

The reason advertiser use celebrities is becuase they make them memorable to us and yes some people do buy products based on the fact they like who advertise it.
It can also work the other way - My Nan hates Gary Linkear and wont buy Walkers crisps.

I don't on principle, I think that the cost of the advert is loaded on the product so the price is inflated. I refuse to buy Walkers crisps because I can't stand smarmy, smug Linikear. |

No. i never buy products that celebs advertise. Niether am i influenced by them either. In fact some of the stupid ads they put on put me off buying some of the products. |

I know that i don't. But for people who love the celebrities and they like to buy stuff made from them. If there weren't any advertisers, it would demolish the businesses that sales these products. |

If it's something I want or would normally buy, then I don't care if its advertiested by celebs and I'll buy it anyway. But I don't go out and say "Oh look, this is endorsed by Washed Up Actress, I think I'll buy it." |
