Does anyone really pay attention to internet advertising?
Additional Details When faced with pop-ups or motion ads on the internet I'm always trying to swat them like flys and disable the motion of jumping ads. If need be, the internet connection is disconnected
Poeple obviously do, otherwise thy wouldn't do it.

I don't ever pay attention to internet advertising because there's been several times in the past of when I clicked on an ad, a virus or some misc crap has been installed on my computer. Plus too is the fact that when you click on what seems to be a legitimate ad, it always goes to something totally different. I ignore the ads and I've got IE set up to block pop ups.

I don't pay attention to it... and if it is so invasive that it pops up in front of what I am trying to read - I make a mental note NOT to use that company.

I can only answer for myself, and the answer is 'NO'.
It has become so annoying in fact, that if I happen to become trapped into noticing what the ad is for before I can close it, I will do one of two things:
1-If it is a product that I am currently using, I discontinue use of the product that is being advertised.
2-If it is a product that I do not currently use, then I will avoid using the product in the future.
