Does marketing creates need or satisfying customes?
creating need vs. satisfying customers

Both or one of, depending on your product
I mean to say: you create need for new products and you satisfy customer needs for products already existing

before entering with a new product/brand into the market, any repudiated company mostly depend on research & survey department. if the arrived report recommends that the said product will be having demand in the market and is a feasible project, then only a product/brand will be introduced into the market. the product will be consumed/used by the customer. in due course the feed back report will be again submitted to the concerned company how the product/brand has created demand in the market. and also what will be the final response from the customer/public.if necessary modifications will be made to the product/brand. so, without a specific need customer may not accept any product/brand. the end consumer will be the main target for any product/brand. ultimately what we can understand is that the customer only designs any product/.brand. customer is the monarch.

delivering value of the money they spend on use.

Need is natural phenomena, satisfaction is a matter of attitude.

When Customer is truly educated it creates satisfying customer otherwise it creates need

Henrisonking (Hk)
Marketing creates needs and also satisfying customers.
The needs it creates is a way or means to to which you get your customers attention and guts towards your goods or products.
Satisfying your customers is the essence of marketing and getting your products or goods delivered to your prospective customers

Sahara
Ideally marketing should do both. With new products, it should create needs that exist already for customers but it may require education on how the product fits the need. With existing products, education has been done and customers have determined they need the product. Marketers in this case may alter the product with enhancements and other features that might help the product satisfy more customer needs. (improvements) It also helps the firm be more competitive.
