marketing is high pressure sales, you don't need to market something people need. if you sell junk that no one really needs, then you have to push it, or "market" it. thus, telemarketing was born.:) |

Do you sell a product or service?
What are its benefits for me, the customer? Who'll buy it? Why do they want it? Where are those pesky customers? When are they "in-market"? How will you get it to them?
Answer these questions and you have a marketing strategy.
Take into consideration competition (but don't "sell against" anyone), your prices, your location vs. your customer's location, and source of supply, and you have a full blown Marketing Plan.
Marketing is a strategy; advertising and sales are tactics. Though often confused, but there is a difference.

Marketing is your ticket to a successful business. Business is a service or product you offer but no one will know you have a service or product unless you advertise and put it out in your specific MARKET.
