I have been maid of honor twice and when my heavier girlfriends were out searching for the perfect gown they couldn't find it in there size and had to settle for something far different than what they imagined when they were 5. It takes a bit of the magic out when I find myself dreaming about my perfect gown. |

No. Not enough is done. Plus sized gowns have fit problems especially around the armpits. My seamstress had the hardest time with my lace and beaded gown and getting around the beading so that the gown fits right in all the right places she had to go back 4 times to try altering it and it still didn't come out right. Beware of beaded gowns. |

I married in 1989 and had to settle on a dress that was not what I wanted. It appears there are more plus size options now; but the dresses are downright dowdy. I wanted a sleek satin dress with a lace overcoat that fell into a very short train. I think I have seen one since; but the only dresses available in my size in 1989 were poofy.
Oh, and to make matters more difficult, I needed about three inches more on the length. |

are you custom making these? i would make sure and advertise well but i think they would sell, assuming they are in style and whatnot, but personally i would rather get married in a pair of jeans at the courthouse and spend the "gown" money on a honeymoon : ) |

I can never find any size 0 dresses, if I do it's petite and too short for me. I'm 5-7 and not anorexic I have a serious malabsorbtion syndrome. |

well my mom is plus sized and shes getting married this november. We have been searching for a dress for like 6 m,onths now and all of them are so ugly she wouldnt be caught dead in it. I do think, and i am a smaller girl, that they do favor towards the small ones like theyre the only ones who can get a man to marry them. They do need to up their speeds on making plus sized dresses!! |

I'm not plus sized and it took me forever to find a dress b/c they were all too big. I had to get a big size and have it altered. I think there are more plus size brides out there then not b/c if you go into bridal stores it seems there are more designes and more options in the plus size. |
