By providing the reader with exactly what they emotional require in a music magazine they would wish to buy the magazine and recommend it to friends. Within the magazine I would include adverts and write in a language that would appeal to the readers. The writing would shout out to the readers and keep there interest by using language similar to how they would talk and the attitude they would have.

Presumably you have already discussed the group the magazine is aimed at, and are justifying how it is produced. ..so yes, it makes sense. .. only please,put THEIR interest, and not THERE interst. Sorry to nag, but that jumped out at me. How about mentioning some pictures too ? Sorry if you've already covered that. |

Well you couldn't have a music mag that appeals to everybody. Country is different than hip hop by a long shot and most rock and roll fans hate rap etc.. and or country.
You'd have to have one kind of magazine I guess for each kind of music. Then you even have classical music and most hip hop music lovers don't listen to classical. Thus the problem.
Also when you think about it, anybody that is dumb enough to listen to that aggravating rap music can't read anyways hee hee

Is this for a college level essay or a graduate level one?
I recommend:
1) Yes, it does make sense that you are saying the magazine should focuse on a target segment of readers by using advertisements that appeal to the younger generation and using their "lingo" to communicate to them. You've also touched upon the viral marketing potential of this strategy.
2) If this is a graduate level essay, I would also explain the actual target market and how the segmentation is done. For example, something like: "research done by xxxx shows that X% of the readers of music magazines are between ages xx to xx. It is expected that the magazine would appeal to the largest population segment by including ads that...."
