weigh a few of the items call the post office and find out or guesstimate as closely as possible without a profit in mind from the postage. |

Weigh the item in the box with the peanuts or bubble wrap then go to www.usps.com if you're using the postal service. It's the same to everywhere in the 48 with usps.
If you will use ups or fedex you will not know until you know the zip of the buyer. |

BEFORE YOU LIST THE ITEM: Pack the item up ready to ship. Weigh it (many Post Offices will have a public scale). Now that you know the weight, measure it. Write down the weight and the size.
WHEN YOU LIST THE ITEM: Use the postage calculator (click the tab next to "flat rate", which means "I know how much I'm going to charge" and you don't, so let's use the calculator instead). Put in the weight and measurements. Now you can put in the class of service you want. Done!
When someone buys from you, eBay will use your zip codes to determine the postage.

Buy a good scale.
Get free Priority Mail supplies at USPS.com
Go to USPS.com and familiarize yourself with the different types of mail and the rates and services.
You must be accurate otherwise you cheat yourself. If your shipping costs are too high, then bidders wont buy the item
Otherwise, before you list an item, box it up and take it to post office for rates. |

You need to weigh the item (with packaging) and enter the weight into the section of your auction builder for shipping.
You then determine if you would like to send only to your own country, or internationally.
You also determine if you would like to add a handling fee (keep it small, under a buck) and if you would like to offer a shipping discount for more than one item. |

But working out how much the stamps and the post bag to send it in will be.
Within your state is about $5.00.
In your country but another state is about $10
International postage would be closer to $20.
