EBay or own website? Good place to get a professional website?

I have a children's boutique and have sold on ebay for years. My area is very rural so I have to do both to make ends meet and keep the doors open. Ebay's fees are getting rediclous... has anyone make the transaction from ebay to their own site? Was it worth it? Traffic still the same? Can anyone give me a good place to get to design a website in all major search engines such as google, yahoo and msn. thanks

You can design your own website. You also can get the traffic that you want for free from the search engines.

I do this myself with my websites. I started doing things with ebay, and i quit years ago. I refused to pay those fees.
