Ebay ,,second change offers help?
i sold an item but person wants me to wait 9 days to pay if i give a second chance offer to someone else and there pay can the 1st person who won it still leave me bad fedback or not
Did you put in your listing that you require payment within a certain timescale? For example I put that the winner must make payment within 48 hrs. If you did do that and they do not pay in the timescale specified by you on the listing then they are breaking the contract. If they then leave you negative feedback becasue you offered and sold the item (2nd chance offer) then you can ask Ebay to remove the negative feedback. If you did not specify a timescale then I would email the 2nd highest bidder to explain the situation and ask if they would be interested if the winner did not pay on the 9th day. Ebay can be a real pain when you get people like that hey!

yes , you have entered into a contract to sell the first person - not only can he leave you a negative he can take you to dispute and will probably win
Sam I

Tell them that you'll wait 9 days, and then on day 10 if they haven't paid, file it as an unpaid item. You can only file an unpaid item after a minimum of 7 days, so there's no harm giving them an extra 2.

I am not sure that you can do that really, after all it is not uncommon to get paid by e-cheque which can take up to 10 days to clear.

Only way they carnt leave feedback is if its over 60 days since the auction ended or if you have taken them to dispute and won.
edit : Dont bother with need2know's answer what he says is bullshit , you carn't put restrictions on the amount of time someone has to pay
