if you hire for weddings, perhaps you could hold wedding fairs. you could get top notch prices for pitches and patrons would also see what facilities you have for their own wedding function. |

First of all is to get brochure done, get some one to assit you, who has worked in the trade,
you need photographs showing each room setting:-
Boardroom
Theatre
U-shape
Party mode
Top Table with sprigs of table close by for weddings
get a local disco involved for free photos of his equipment (That is disco equipment),
In the meeting set up's, make sure you have OHP and Screen, DVD/Video and TV available, if not, then find local conference suppliers and see if they can help you out the same day the photographer is at the pub.
Also make sure the roof terrace is smarted up, clean and tidy and you ahve tables and chairs outside, especially after July 1st for the smokers.. |

1. have a grand opening and invite the kind of people along you think might want to book it out. give them a few drinks and a bit of nice food and watch the orders come rolling in!!
2. for weddings - get in with a photographer/cake maker/etc etc who deal with people getting hitched. offer to give them referals of the people who come to you and vice versa
3. mail out party organisers from thomsons/yellow pages
4. if you want corporate go to business networking events with your literature - BNI, chamber events - loads of opprtunities

Invite your local Chamber of Commerce to hold their next function there (with lots of small business contacts invited!!)
You may have to offer the room free of charge (catering extra!), but you gotta spend a little to earn a lot!
Chambers usually have affiliated groups of business owners who get together to discuss ides (such as this) - it might not be such a bad idea to join one yourself! |

go to meetup.com, find business groups, contact the organizers and offer to host a meeting.
check the calendar listing in your local newpaper business section, also contact those people.
be sure to have posters / flyers / menu inserts visible so the people who come in will know
in the mornings, take a stack of flyers and give them to the local businesses (take a walk, meet some pretty receptionists)
do a birthday club (if you give us your email and snailmail and birthday, we'll give you a free meal / drinks / party on your birthday ) and make money off the friends who come along
google for (your city name) and "meeting planners" there should be a local association, get in touch with them.
and of course the Chamber and the Convention bureau.
contact the local radio stations, see about the cost of doing an "on-site" broadcast (it's cheaper than you think). Be sure to have a special offer for people who call or come in or hit your website and give the secret code, so you can get as many names as possible on your mailing list. |

Maybe host some free events (you can still earn £ from the drinks/food) with community groups like sports groups, scouts etc - they will be grateful and will pass the word around. Arrange an open evening/day and invite local compay's, event arrangers etc. Take pictures and advertise how popular you are! Its new and many will be glad to see a new area to go - try overspill from hotels etc they may be overbooked and appreciate an alternative. Sounds great location! |
