Hey guys, im doing a project at university about advertising, instead of leaflets and flyers has anybody came across something a little different that advertises a business or service. For example i was walking in town the other week when this lady was giving free paper bags away, inside was a lemon and a lime with i sticker one saying a could get a free vodka drink at this club, other examples include stickers on pound coins e.t.c

Carlsberg did a campaign lately in london that certainly got people talking!
They scattered £10 notes round london bearing the sticker:
“Carlsberg don’t do litter. But if they did it would probably be the best litter in the world.â€
It was very clever, as they only scattered £5000 worth of notes, which is a tiny amount in advertising when you consider a 30 second advert slot on the tv can cost more than £100,000, and it got everyones attention and was widely discussed all round the internet.
So they spent a tiny figure, but got a huge amount of exposure, as it was something different and unique, and the most important thing was people told each other about it (same as i`m telling you!), and that as they say is priceless! |

Ok, i am a graphice designer and I am bombarded with these ideas all the time..
The Best one i have heard of so far was From Starbucks (which personally i am not a fan of 5.00 cups of coffee, and a tip jar on the counter, but i digress)
but what they did was have magnets on the bottom of starbucks cups on people's cars all over chicago, driving around, parked in businesses, people loitering around the cars.. and when a good samaritan came over to tell them they left thier coffee on the roof or trunk than they gave them a gift certificate for a free cup..
i loved that idea, reward the good/honest/helpful people..
and i never forgot about it since (probably 2 years ago)..
