I've never told one off, in fact I was one of those "annoying" telemarketers.believe me we don't like calling you anymore then you like talking to us, but please don't be rude most of the time you can tell just by the phone number on your caller ID that it's a telemarketer so just don't answer.Another little tip for people that hate telemarketers is don't pick up your phone and tell us off then hang up, we actually need your permission to remove you from our calling list, and usually have to have you verify your phone number before we can take you off our list. |

I have told off many telemarketers. I can't tell you what I said to them. I wouldn't put it on here. I feel sorry for anyone that has to try and make a living cold calling people.
What can they expect when they call you at 9:00 pm on a Sunday night? They ask for everything they get from the people on the other end of the phone. OR, worse than that is 8:00 am Saturday. They all have a secret death wish! |

The best thing to do is just be polite and say no thank you. The people calling you are just hourly wage earners trying to make a living and get by like everyone else. If a person doesn't want the
On another note, the reason why there are so many telemarketing firms out there is because telemarketing actually works.se calls they can sign up on the "do not call" list. |

Things I always enjoyed doing.
1. Act as though I am very hard of hearing, making them
repeat over and over.
2. Asking for their home phone#, so that I can call them
back when they are having supper.
3. Acting as though I don't understand the language they
are speaking.
4. Telling them the voices are also talking to me at the
same time, and can they wait. |

I didn't say anything. Usually, whenever I hear someone trying to promote some item or the other, I'll just put down the phone. No sense trying to waste any more time and they're just doing their job anyway. |

Wwhen they ask for "your first name, your last name", put on a Greek or roman accent and tell him you're Spartacus. |

I just let the person finish his opening dialogue and I firmly but politely says I am not interested at the moment and I do not want to be contacted again. |

My dad likes to mess with telemarketers. His favorite thing to do is to ask them what country they are in and if they enjoy stealing jobs from Americans. He's been hung up on many a time. |

I just tell them I never respond to sales over a telephone and to Remove my phone number and name from their list. I try not to be upset with them... they are merely doing a job. I do so hate the early morning calls because I live in an off beat time zone (the president is already elected by the time we get to vote)... |
