Heard of EuroLink Financial Group of Publishers Sweepstakes??
I got this letter in the mail saying I won a sweepstake in the amount of $95,000 which required that i pay 10% for taxes. They also attached a check for about $2,000. My name was attached to a lottery ticket and won a 2nd prize. They wanted me to call to verify information and to send in a picture so they can show it on T.V. for winning the sweepstake. The letter also mentioned I only had 3 weeks to claim the reward..what should i do?? how did they get my information?? I tried looking up this company and could not find anything, it feels like a scam so how do i report this?? Please help -thanks

I just received the same letter/check on monday. I could not find anything on this company as well and I don't know how they got my information. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau to see what they might be able to tell me. If this is a scam (which I think it is) it is not funny at all. I could really use the money to pay off bills after a lay-off put me behind on them. You might want to contact the Better Business Bureau as well.

I got the same letter also. We called the bank that was on the check and they said there was no such routing number. They told me to call the post office because it is postal fraud. They are taking care of that and now I'm suppose to take the envelope and everything to the police. I also looked up the company's website and they had a different phone number than what was on the check. I called them and they said it wasn't their company that sent the checks out. For some reason they used their same address. I don't get it. But it is fraudulent.

It's A Scam!
Don't cash the check! This is a scam where they rip off checks from an unsuspecting company and then send them out to you with the promise of a big payout. Unfortunately, if you cash the check it will bounce and you will have sent most of the money back to EuroLink. You will then be responsible for paying back the bank.

I also got a check for $2960. I'm used to scam emails but not used to them coming by real mail. If they are a scam and you got conned by them report them to ripoffreport.com and the police and discuss it with your banker to see if there's anything you can do to especially to prevent identity theft and having your account drained.

I got the same letter - same check. spoke with a young lady at the BBB and said to not cash the check. When the check goes back to "Euro Link" they will then have all of your account info. DO NOT CASH THE CHECK. I actually spoke with a person by the name of Julie Nelson and she confirmed all the info that you all have also. The red flags were as bright as could be Canada letter but a check from Kansas. If you have any doubts, make a copy of the check (front and back) and of the letter; take it to your bank to find out if it is good (but it probably won't be) - just so you have peace of mind. Then write a letter to the comapny on the check (make a copy of it) and ask them to take you off of their "mailing list".

I have received the same letter yesterday, and after much investigating, I have found that it is a scam. They want you to cash the check and then send them the money for your taxes to ultimately receive your winnings of $95,000!!! You send them the money and never receive your winnings, but you have just helped them rip off SPC Telequip...
