As others have said, CraigsList.org is the most likely place to find buyers quickly, and at no cost. However, it's very much a "hit or miss" resource, with limited traffic (and loads of spam) for CraigsList sites outside the core markets of NY, SF, LA, and Chicago.
Another possibility is eBay, with a 3-day auction, but that would require waiting for payment and then packing and shipping items, which probably is not an option.
A consignment shop is a possibility, but unlikely for these specific items.
I'm surprised nobody has suggested a pawn shop as an option -- it's historically a great place to get quick cash for items, though certainly not "top dollar."
Another option is to buy a classified ad in your local newspaper. While the effectiveness of such ads has declined, they can still be effective for some products. However, the up-front cost might not be justified by the uncertain results.
Finally, some retail stores (certainly including music stores) may buy used items, or offer trade-in credit for something else you want from the store (e.g. you could trade your bulky item for a lower-value item that you can carry). |

you could try craigslist, or, if you end up just getting rid of it you could join your local freecycle group (just google it). You won't get cash this way, but you can get it gone. They have to come pick it up...no shipping to worry about. Also you could list on ebay. |
